Dina Berthen
Dina has a deep love of music
and has been performing since the age of 4. With over twenty-five years
of musical, vocal and acting training she now enjoys helping to bring
music into student’s lives. Her
specialty is teaching beginning students in as well as those who want to
combine guitar and vocals. Dina offers both individual and
group lessons.
Although classically trained, Dina
works to combine music theory, timing and rhythm with pop, rock or
country music that is tailored to the individual’s tastes. By using familiar songs and riffs, her
method allows students to learn to play in a shorter amount of time and
increases their willingness to practice. Dina incorporates the use of the
mandolin, bass guitar and hand drums in addition to guitar into lessons
to help students learn to play along with other instruments.
With numerous credits in film, stage
and television, Dina is also a resource to all Groove Studio students in
the arrangement of vocals and development of stage-presence for recitals
and other performances.
